85x180x41 mm Single Row N317 NU317 NJ317 ECM / ECP / ECJ / E-M1-C3 Cylindrical Roller Bearings The NU317ECM is a single-row cylindrical bearing with NU design. The outer ring of this bearing has two rigid ribs, while the inner ring has none. As a result, NU bearings are only capable of supporting radial forces. This bearing type is commonly used as a floating bearing. Floating bearings allow axial displacement of the shaft relative to the housing in both directions. This is necessary in applications where the shaft material shrinks or expands due to temperature changes (thermal expansion). NU bearings can also be used as support bearings by combining them with HJ angle rings (available separately).
